Join a Learning Community

ACE members can join ACE’s eight specialized Learning Communities (LCs) for year-round professional development webinars, virtual coffee chats and a place to connect with peers anytime. LC members communicate throughout the year through electronic discussions called forums, as well as in person at ACE’s annual meeting. Members may join as many LCs as they wish – all included in an ACE membership!

Join an LC

To join an LC and begin receiving its forum notifications, you must first sign up to be a member of that LC. Learn how. (Tip: Not sure if a particular LC suits you? Join it, wait a few months to see if the conversations and learning opportunities are the right fit for you, and if not, simply log back into your membership page and unselect it as one of your LCs.)

Five Ways to Get More from Learning Community Forums

Ask questions. (Ex. Do any of your departments have an AI policy? I’d love to learn more about how you developed it and what problems you may be running into.)
Tap into peer expertise. (Ex. Has anyone used paid Facebook ads? Was it worth it? How did you measure the ROI?)
Meet people. (Ex. Join an LC coffee chat and meet peers around the country with shared interests and challenges.)
Hone your skills. (Ex. Attend an LC professional development webinar or watch a recording of one you missed.)
Provide feedback & support. (Ex. Answer one of your peers’ questions, suggest a future webinar or coffee chat topic or even volunteer to host or help with one.)

Wondering how to subscribe to and post on the ACE Learning Community Discussion Forums? We’ve created a video guide for members that walks you through the subscription process and shows you how to stay up to date with Learning Community discussions and post new topics to the forum.

Step 1- Navigate to the ACE website

Step 2- Click "Log in" at the top right corner

Step 3- Enter your information into the email and password text fields

Step 4- Click "Submit"

Step 5- Click the "I agree to the terms of use for Wild Apricot's websites, mobile apps, and services. To log in, you must agree to the terms of use," field.

Step 6- Click "Learning Communities" under "Member Resources" in the navigation bar.

Step 7- Choose your desired Learning Community

Step 8- Click "Subscribe to forum"

Learning Community Annual Meetings

Learning Community annual meetings are held either at the annual ACE Conference or via Zoom. Agendas for these meetings include electing new leadership for the Learning Community and planning professional development opportunities for the coming year.
