Last Call! Publishing SIG Program Ideas for ACE Kansas City
Last Call! Publishing SIG program ideas for ACE Kansas City
Hi, ACE Publishing SIG folks.
You still have one more day to send us your suggestions on how best
to use our three Publishing SIG-sponsored sessions at ACE 2003 in Kansas
City. We've received several excellent suggestions, but based on current
calculations there's a 97% chance that we have not yet heard from YOU!
To date we've had requests for sessions on:
-
E-pub file formats
-
E-pub accessibility for PDAs
-
Appropriate editorial and design standards for E-pubs
-
Magazine production
If there's something else you'd like to see us sponsor at ACE/KC, let us
know right away. Just fill out the PUBLISHING SIG QUESTIONNAIRE before
the end of the day, November 8. Bear in mind that the SIG-sponsored sessions
are not subject to the competitive selection process used to select other
ACE breakout sessions, so the chances that a session that you propose through
your SIG will be presented are that much greater.
Jim Coats, Chair (wjcoats@ucdavis.edu)
Diane Blake Bowen, Vice-Chair (d-bowen@tamu.edu)
Natalie Johnson, Vice-Chair-Elect (njohnson@nmsu.edu)
And don't forget:
-
The news deadline for the next SIGnals is November 15! Send all items,
short or long, to Chris Penko (CLPenko@mail.ifas.ufl.edu).
-
The Journal of Applied Communications is a great place to publish a book
review. If you've just found a great new reference work, write it up and
let your fellow ACErs know. - Proposals for non-SIG breakout sessions are
due now, too. Go to the ACE/KC web site, http://www.oznet.ksu.edu/kc2003/
to submit your proposal online.
