You May Have Missed The Workshop But You Still Can Benefit
From Media Relations Made Easy In The Big Easy

Media Relations Made Easy in the Big Easy was an ACE superworkshop coordinated by the Media Relations and Writing SIGs in New Orleans in September 2003.

Although you're too late to participate in the workshop, you still can benefit from the two years of planning that went into that event by purchasing a copy of the Media Relations Made Easy Training Guide. That comprehensive notebook is the work of ACE colleagues and is designed to help you conduct more effective media relations training for your administrators, faculty, staff and others.

It contains more than 200 pages of information and seven complete educational modules on such topics as why media work is important, what to do when media call, writing news releases and columns, getting to know the media, special considerations for TV / interview tips and strategies, keeping crises contained / crisis communication and how to communicate about controversial issues. It also contains supporting materials, such as a videotape, PowerPoint presentations, teaching outlines and fact sheets, to help in conducting training sessions.

At only $75 for the complete training guide (plus $10 shipping and handling), it's quite a bargain. And the proceeds go to the Media Relations SIG to help bring in top-quality speakers and to support future events such as this workshop.
