The Professional Award is the highest recognition given by the Association for Communication Excellence to one of its members. The award recognizes excellence and professionalism in an communicator. It is based on achievements over an extended period (at least three years) and on participation in and support of ACE. Members must be nominated by a fellow member to be considered for the award.
Nomination for the award includes a general description of the member's job, specific accomplishments in carrying out job assignments, indications of impact of the member's communication efforts, participation in and service to ACE, and other achievements that document the excellence of professional competence. Nominations should be accompanied by letters of recommendation. A nomination is made by submitting a completed nomination form and letters of recommendation to the ACE president by February 10, 2012.
Selection of the recipient will be made by a panel composed of past Professional Award recipients and the presidents of national agricultural communication organizations.
The ACE Professional Award recipient will be recognized during the annual meeting.
