Leadership & Management SIG
Effective communication professionals need to develop skills in motivating people to
make good communications decisions. Helping guide our administrators, specialists,
researchers and other clientele toward effective communications choices requires
the ability to lead and persuade. Leadership and management skills are also of
vital importance in guiding operations within communication service units.
This special interest group is intended for ACE members who want to enhance their
skills in these arenas. It is a viable SIG option for the most seasoned
professional as well as the first-year member who simply has a particular
interest in leadership and management.
ACE is an international organization that supports international agriculture as
well as the programs of land-grant universities in the U.S. Many of our members
work for the state cooperative extension services, agricultural research agencies,
and the USDA. Because of the variety of programs we support, we also deal in many
content areas not related to production agriculture, including forestry, family
and consumer education, youth development, and economic and community
development.
SIG member or not, please feel free to contact any of the SIG officers for more
information.
