Gordon Jackson Graham ACE President 1976-77 University of Arizona Tucson, AZ
Gordon Graham was born June 17, 1924, in South Bend, Indiana where he grew up
on a dairy farm. From 1942 to 1946, he served in the Army. He received a bachelor's
degree in agriculture in 1948 and a master's degree in agricultural economics,
both from Purdue University. He worked for the Purdue University Agricultural
Alumni Association after graduation. Later, he sold livestock feed and worked
on a newspaper in northern Illinois.
In 1962, he became agricultural editor at the University of Wyoming, later becoming
director of communications there. In 1968, he moved to the University of Arizona,
where he became agricultural editor and professor of agricultural education.
He retired from the extension service June 30, 1986, and from the University
of Arizona June 30, 1991.
In retirement, he has enjoyed traveling by bicycle, woodworking, genealogy and
computer communications.
