The Professional Award is the highest recognition given by the Association for Communication Excellence
to one of its members. The award recognizes excellence and professionalism in an agricultural communicator. It
is based on achievements over an extended period (at least three years) and on participation in and support of
ACE. Members must be nominated by a fellow member to be considered for the award.
Nomination for the award shall include a general description of the member’s job, specific accomplishments in
carrying out job assignments, indications of impact of member’s communication efforts, participation in and service to
ACE, and other achievements that document the excellence of professional competence. A nomination shall be made by
submitting a completed nomination form to the ACE president by February 15, 2008.
Selection of the recipient will be made by a panel composed of past Professional Award recipients and the presidents
of national agricultural communication organizations.
The ACE Professional Award recipient will be recognized during the annual meeting.
