Deb Coates has an educational background in animal and plant sciences. She has worked as a field researcher, statistical consultant, instructor and IT manager. For the last 18 years, she has been a part of Extension Information Technology at Iowa State University Extension. Her experience includes teaching, materials development, strategic planning, support and project management. Recently, she has worked with emerging technologies, including weblogs, RSS and collaboration tools. She has partnered on grants to implement and sustain new technologies in extension as well as consulting on a national digital library project. She is currently a member of the eXtension IT advisory committee.

Jill Hughson is an extension assistant with Texas Cooperative Extension. She works in the areas of instructional design and e-Learning. As part of the extension information technology unit, her duties include IT training coordination for the agency, developing interactive e-learning tools, and assisting in making self-help materials readily available via the Web. She earned her bachelor's degree at Texas A&M University and has worked in the technology field for more than 12 years.
