Outstanding Professional Skill Award Judge for Electronic Media: Audio Category
Jodi Breisler covers the nation's capitol for public radio affiliates across the country for Capitol News Connection with
Public Radio International. Breisler recently spent a couple of years as the news director at KRWG-FM in Southern New Mexico. There
she covered anything and everything from illegal border crossings and the femicides in the Mexican border city of Juarez to
cockfighting and desert flooding in the world's chile capital. She also taught radio reporting at New Mexico State University. Prior to
that, Breisler worked as an assistant producer for Bloomberg Television's "Money & Politics," as a mobile blog reporter at the
Republican National Convention, and gave a weekly webcast on foreign exchange for Market News International. Before earning her
master's in journalism at Columbia University, Breisler worked as a policy advisor/deputy campaign manager for a member of the
Scottish Parliament. She also earned a master's degree in international and European politics at the University of Edinburgh
while on a Rotary ambassadorial scholarship.
