Resources | Agreements of Cooperation
On August 20, 2002 the ACE board of directors approved a working relationship with Agro-Soyuz. Ashley Wood, president of ACE, and
Volodymyr Khorishko, director of Agro-Soyuz, signed a memorandum of understanding.
Through this memorandum of understanding, ACE members will work with Agro-Soyuz to develop communication channels to effectively
disseminate information on crop and livestock production, grain drying and storage that is being accrued by Agro-Soyuz.
Until now, interested Ukrainians have been visiting the Farm Resources Center in Dnipropetrovsk to obtain information and to see
a practical model of state-of-the art practices in dairy, swine, and crop production and grain drying and storage. The next phase of
development is to disseminate the information throughout 85 affiliates that Agro-Soyuz has established throughout the entire country.
This would provide access to current agricultural information to all producers on an ongoing basis.
The memorandum of understanding will facilitate the development of a program between Agro-Soyuz and ACE. In the future, members of
ACE will travel to Ukraine to work with Agro-Soyuz staff. Neonila Martyniuk is coordinating the efforts between ACE and Agro-Soyuz.
