If Extension is going to use interactive videodisc as a program delivery method in the
future, the technology must be explored and systematically evaluated in a variety of learning
situations. This paper focuses on questions to consider as one begins to undertake a thorough and
systematic analysis of the in-depth instructional programming use of technology. The challenge
is to (a) identify evaluation and research issues and phrase them in testable ways; (b) develop an
overall research and evaluation strategy for testing the technology: and (c) organize a method for
delivering the evaluative information to decision makers.
